What people are saying about
Alien Earth: Hope Cometh

 By Kray (online review)
I should say the prologue was an excellant start! The attack on earth was wow and sad all at the same time. The fight scenes were detailed perfectly (gross but perfectly gross)! I could really see them coming alive on TV series or in a movie. I loved that the main character was a girl! Thanks for empowering females that will read this book and for getting guys to see a girl as a powerful force that can hold her own! I enjoyed the family relationship and how their family expanded with Jenna and Austin."

I'm not usually fasincated by SciFi books but this one got my attention. It was great! The story line kept me on the edge of my seat. It was all so convincing...I felt like I was actually there experiencing everything the characters experienced. I really enjoyed it and did not want to put it down for fear that I would miss something. Great job!

Characters in desperate situations could get old. But the way Meadors manipulates his fresh, new characters makes this book a good read. The multifaceted forearms are just icing on the cake. Hopefully he has a sequel left in him.

Wow, I finally found a book that I could sink my teeth into during these stormy, rainy nights that we have down south. With the College Baseball World Series and the NBA Championship on TV it should have been extremely hard for me to read this "Superb" novel. Wrong! I missed everything because I couldn't tear myself away from the intense action. What a great plot and what colorful characters the writer so wonderfully conveyed to me his reader. The Marauders from Space seemed so real and quite terrifying that I would have to close the book for a few minutes to remember that it was only a book. This story should become a movie!!! I dearly hope that James R. Meadors writes a sequel to this block buster. And another. And another. And another.

I read about to the halfway point of the book last night. I can't hardly stand to put it down. I can't remember which chapter it was, but there was one around 22 I think that almost had me in tears.

I'm about half way through and already wondering when the next one is coming out! By the way, my Mom loves it too...she finished it in one day and all she could talk about was Hope!

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading this book. The pace of the story makes it hard to put down. I love to read and I know I will be reading it again before another week goes by. My only question is WHEN DOES THE NEXT BOOK COME OUT??? Great job, Mr. Meadors!

The story is well thought-out, the characters are engaging, and the book leaves you wanting a sequel. I am a notoriously slow reader, and yet I finished the book very quickly as I had a hard time putting it down. There is constant action, with enough detail to paint a clear mental image, but not so much that you get bogged down and bored. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it.

Great new science fiction novel! The author is a master of imagery. He does a wonderful job describing the characters and settings, providing enough details to let you to see the story while allowing your imagination to fill in the picture. The characters are also very relatable. They are ordinary people, challenged by extraordinary circumstances, giving the book a feel of believability. I highly recommend this book and know that you will enjoy it as much as I did.

I truly enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down. The story was very detailed and easy to follow! Alien Earth: Hope Cometh is my new favorite work of science fiction. It is evident, based on how the story ends, that a sequel should be in the works. I can't wait!

A sci fi book that is easy to read but like most books takes a little while to get caught up into the world of the book. It has interesting charactors that you want to support in defeating the aliens from the start and come to love before you know it. Things start blowing up a few chapters in so if destruction and fight scenes are your thing this is the book for you! Don't worry, no cheesy love scenes or storylines to ruin the action. Maybe poor Hope will have a chance to connect with someone in book 2 besides in combat!

You will get hooked after the first two pages and won't be able to put it down. The action is intense and the drama is heartrending. An innovative use of a timescale combined with well constructed chapters moves the story along at a very quick pace, yet the detail is surprising. Just when you start thinking you've got it figured out, "whoops, nope, didn't see that coming". I really enjoyed this one and like all good sci-fi, I'll be thinking about it for quite a while.

Though not necessarily a review, the following is an excerpt from an email I received from a reader. I'm only going to share a small portion of what was written because the other things discussed could serve as spoilers.

Most people read to be entertained. This book delivers that in spades. I have the unfortunate ability to guess how most stories will unfold, but that never happened in "Alien Earth: Hope Cometh". The characters are fully developed and the conflict scenes are clearly written so you can follow the action. When the book came to the end, I found myself satisfied like someone who had finished a delicious meal.

I did find some of the writing a bit loose, but that is common among new authors. This is nothing that sharper editing can't solve in his many novels to come (I hope).
